About
I am a software engineer based in Greece, with a background from the Department of Informatics and Telematics at Harokopio University of Athens. My work spans the full stack, with a focus on production TypeScript applications deployed on the Cloudflare edge.
My thesis, Local Area Modeling for FireCastNet, developed regional graph-based models for wildfire forecasting; the work lives in the lam and lam-visual branches of the FireCastNet project.
I also design and ship software for Byzantine music: Isokratis, a freemium practice drone PWA for chanters, and the platform for a Byzantine music school — including a family of microservices for PDF generation, image compression and automated mailings.
Beyond web engineering, I am drawn to the fundamentals: I have written a full compiler for the Alan language that emits JVM bytecode directly, and a parallel C engine that computed one billion digits of Euler's constant on a laptop.
